Stefanie and Zach met with me after days of non-stop, flood-inducing rain in the Saint Louis area. It was only recently, at the turn of 2016, that the Valley Park, Eureka and Fenton areas were inundated with rising waters and devastating floods from the Meramec River. Now, barely one year later – those communities were again devastated with floods. Thankfully, many volunteers quickly reacted and the sandbagging efforts allowed many homes and businesses to be spared.
For a Sunday evening, the park was unusually busy – no doubt due to many photography session reschedules from the rain. We avoided the crowds by walking along the surrounding streets to begin the session. The Square is lined with beautiful, turn-of-the-century French-inspired homes.
This area of Lafayette Square Park is so beautiful when you time it correctly. Luckily, the crowds dispersed and we had a little time to ourselves for a sweet & romantic moment.
Wishing these two the best as they prepare for their Fall winery wedding! I look forward to celebrating with you and capturing what will no doubt be a beautiful wedding day. xoxo – Lindsay
