I graduated from college in 2009, earning my bachelor degree in Business Administration with an international emphasis at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. In college, I served as UMSL’s Japan-America Student Association President from 2007-2009 and the PR Officer from 2006-2007. I was also a member of the International Business Club.
During my last semester in college, I began interning for the National Guard American Drag Racing League, as a Public Relations Intern/Assistant to the Director of Media Communications. At the end of my ADRL internship, I began an internship at Live Image Group, LLC, at which I served as Director of Media before moving on to a client relations position at RLK & Associates, Inc.
I am an avid aquarist and photographer. I have been in the aquarium hobby since childhood. To me, aquarium life and landscapes are a peaceful and serene escape from the stresses of daily life.
Photography has always been in my life. Inspired by the privately beautiful landscapes surrounding my childhood home, I began capturing the world around me with various point-and-shoot cameras. I have years of experience in sports photography, and I also enjoy portrait, engagement, wedding, event, family, and landscape photography. I very much prefer natural-light photography. I am rarely in a studio-setting. Natural light has so much more to offer.
I strongly believe that it is important for us to venture out of our comfort zone and experience the cultures and natural beauties of our little planet. I hope to one day be able to travel across the globe. In the meantime, I am enjoying post-college life with my biochemist/triathlete boyfriend and our two cats, Cashmere and Fosters.
My Philosophy
I am a freelance photographer based in Chesterfield, Missouri. I offer event, high school senior, sports/athletic, portrait, family, child, pet, wedding, couples and engagement photography services.
I always prefer to meet people before I photograph them, especially for family and wedding/engagement photography. I think that by getting to know you prior to our shoot, we’ll both be more comfortable and that will show through in your photos.
My photography style is a mix of traditional and photo-journalistic. I will always do traditional posed shots, but I also love capturing candid moments; moments in time that you might otherwise forget. I try to create a fun and comfortable experience, and love to get creative input from my clients.
I am available on weekends, and have a flexible pricing structure in which I tailor to each and every client, even on a budget. I love natural light, so you will rarely find me in a studio. I love to photograph outdoors!
